The insurance-desk line
If a public adjuster would say it, we do not write it.
The insurance-funded desk exists so a contractor can keep that job without hiring a claims guy who wants a cut of gross, and without turning OnRamp into an unlicensed public adjuster.
We write observed conditions, recommended assemblies, assumptions, and a confirm-in-field checklist. We do not write “the carrier owes,” “coverage includes hidden damage,” “demand payment,” or “we represent the insured.” The cover says the package is a construction estimate for the named contractor. It is not a proof of loss.
The contractor stays on the carrier emails. OnRamp does not get on the call as the insured’s representative. Fee is the SOW amount. Never a percent of the supplement, the award, or the depreciation.
Colorado and Tennessee only, and only where the SOP and the state overlay allow it. Other states stay estimate-only until counsel opens them.
